SOUTHERN ILLINOIS
HISTORIC STONE BUILDING
RESTORATION
Owner/Friend contacted Reggie Konet to restore an incredible stone architectural relic on her 200 acre farm in Southern Illinois. The original building was thought to have been used as a tavern/safe house for early travelers heading west. The original windows were small to limit the chance of an arrow flying in!
The building was remodeled into a summer home with a new kitchen, bathroom, sleeping loft, stone fireplace and finishes. The reclaimed lumber was from an old mill down the road.
